What Roulette Radio is

Roulette Radio is a free web radio player and directory. It lists live radio streams that stations publish themselves, using data from the community-run Radio Browser (radio-browser.info), and plays them in your browser. Browse by genre and country, press Spin to land on a random station, save favorites and share a station with a link.

How we treat the stations

• We don't host or change the audio. Every stream comes straight from the station's own server.
• We don't insert ads into the radio streams. If a station plays its own ads, those belong to the station.
• Stations own their content. If you run a station and want your listing changed or removed, write to hello@gentake.studio.
• Broken or unavailable streams are hidden automatically over time, based on listeners' reports and automatic checks. The Worldwide view is still in testing, so some stations there may not work.
• Streams are meant for personal listening. If you want to play radio in a shop, café or other public space, check the music licensing rules in your country first.

About the website

Roulette Radio is made by GenTake Studio in Finland. The site shows a few promo cards: our own projects and, clearly marked, affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you buy through an affiliate link. This does not change which stations are listed or how they are ordered.

Privacy

There is no account, no cookies and no advertising or analytics trackers on this site. This is what the site does use:

• Stored in your own browser only: favorites, recently played stations, language, skin, volume, your last genre and country, and a short list of streams that failed for you. You can clear this in your browser settings.
• Visitor counter: the number of visits is counted as a single number. No IP address or identifier is stored with it.
• Broken-stream reports: when a stream fails for you, the site tells our server which station it was, together with a shortened part of your IP address, so that one listener cannot hide a station alone. These entries expire automatically.
• Favorites backup (optional): if you use the backup code, your list of favorite stations is stored under a random code on our server. No name or email is needed. To have a list removed, write to hello@gentake.studio.
• Now playing: to show the current song title, our server briefly connects to the station's stream. Nothing about you is stored.
• Other services your browser contacts: the Radio Browser directory (station lists), the radio station's own server (the stream), flagcdn.com (flag images), Google Fonts (fonts), cdnjs.cloudflare.com (a player library) and our host Netlify. As in any web traffic, each of them can see your IP address.
